I did not know that we are so unique in our language. No wonder people say that Language can differentiate one group from another. Geez..Since this Puzzle Pirate is a multiplayer game, I would not expect people to know my country let alone meeting my fellowmen here.haha...
Surprisingly, he found me and I was curious at what makes him think that we are from the same country. He say the "Lahs" and the "Lors" are so distinctive. Geez...
I did not know that my everyday online language is filled with all those exclaimation syllables. Till he pointed out to me.
I tried to rebutt and say that well all chinese will use that kind of syllables.
Know what he say?
Yeah only Singaporeans do.
Coz we are mixed culture.
So we can actually recognise each other not by the fashion marker but in virtual world we can still identify ourselves with verbal markers. Who say that offline identity cannot be carried online? Well, I guess we just did since our everyday lives actually penetrate into our online identity.
Some things just dun change.
haha......
Anyway, I still dun believe that I actually peppered my language with all that so I make a general survey on my online chat.
Guezz wat?
I had more "Lahs" than "Lors" or "Hors".
I had more "Hehe" than "Hahas" (May be the icon is really cute. I like sniggers than cheerleading.)
I typed more "U" instead of "You"
I can use more than 5icons in 1 sentence and guess what I have to cut down coz MSN dun allow this.
Geez......the list goes on.....aiyo....why like that...
Think I must brush up on my language otherwise my future report will all be crap.
