Leo Travel Profile
Who IS that stepping from that gilded carriage ...... royalty? A world leader? Nah, it's probably just a Leo. Those born under this Sign know how to travel in style, and if it's not in a Cinderella-like carriage, it's probably via the Orient Express or the Concorde. Lions love to be treated like royalty because in their world, they're just that. When they hit the road, it's first-class all the way.
Bigger is always better for the Lion, so think of the Grand Tour, a hacienda in Cuernavaca or a private Greek island. And while Leos are possessed of considerable physical strength and stamina, they'd much rather have a car and driver take them from one splendid sight to the next. Organized and creative as they are, Leos love to set the agenda when traveling, and it'll surely be a good one.
They'll also travel with a few friends in tow, the better for all to see what shining stars they are. Royalty needs its court, after all. They won't dawdle over any one part of the journey, either -- a quick peek at the Mona Lisa is fine, just enough to tell the folks back home about it. Travel for Leos is all about ease, which is why they pack that all those credit cards. Someone will worry about the bill later ...
Leo Destinations
Question: Where is the "A"list crowd going ...... these days? Answer: Hard to say, but the Lion is sure to find out! Travel is all about status for these pampered pets, so being with the "in" crowd counts for a lot, as do creature comforts once there. Wimbledon in June is a must, at which time the Lion will stay at the Ritz and dance till dawn at London's snazziest clubs. Paris is perfect in the springtime, while Milan is a must during the fall fashion shows. Many Leos enjoy gambling, so Las Vegas is high on their list -- a little craps at Caesars Palace sounds about right. Lovers of romance as well, a Lion will purr like a kitten if swept away for a romantic weekend along the Mendocino coast (the Heritage House being the definitive inn). Leos aren't likely to roam much around India or Africa, though, as the thought of those less fortunate than themselves is a bit hard for them to handle.
Leo Activities
It's not likely that the Lion is going to break a sweat while sightseeing. Sure, it's important to see the sights, but it's also important to look good while you're at it. To that end, Leos will set an organized yet fun agenda for themselves and their crew, taking in the hottest Broadway show or the latest exhibit in Rome with tickets purchased beforehand (Wait in line? Never!). Once back home, they'll tell everyone about these excellent events. Social as they are, Leos love to be in a crowd, so parties, receptions or any other crowded venue (local bars and discos always rate high) are a magnet for them. Give 'em a drink and they'll regale their "subjects" for hours! The best of the best is important to the Lion, too, so they'd never miss the Prado in Madrid or the frescoes of the Sistine. "Umm, driver, my feet are a bit sore; it's time to head back to the hotel ..."
L
eo Dining Ideas
If a table at the hottest restaurant in New York ...... or LA is simply impossible to get, call a Leo: They'll find a way. Lions know what they want and it's always the best of the best. Beluga caviar? Well, at least a taste (must watch that cholesterol!). The freshest salmon in Norway, tender lamb in New Zealand and mouth-watering sushi in Tokyo are all on the menu when the Lion is on the road. Aesthetics count too, so it's the white-napped, silver-laden table which will always win the day. The Michelin guide is always on hand for elegant Leos, who know that getting to both of Joel Robuchon's restaurants when in France is the only way to go.
Leo Lodging Ideas
Can you say five-star,Well, you'd better if you're ...... traveling with a Leo! Those born under this Sign insist on luxury from soup to nuts, so their hotel of choice will always be the best in town. And hey, if the town doesn't have one, then it's not their kind of town. Think the Crillon in Paris and the Pierre in New York, hostelries which are happy to unpack your bags while you take a spot of tea in the lobby lounge. Shutters in Santa Monica is a great place for Lions who want to frolic seaside, since the rooms are a languid pleasure.
