I did not know when the craze started but apparently it is the pet project of a photographer. It goes like this, choose a picture that you had in the past, do it same pose with the same clothes and sam location and contrast between the two.
At first, I thought it is a kill time game. After a while, I had different opinions of it. By doing so, you are forcing yourself to travel back time and to relive the same state, same emotions and same context that you have been in years ago. This may evoke questions like how do I get back to the old happy state? Which is good as it will force people to evaluate how they have been doing in their lives.
But after viewing through some of the photos, even though the pose is there, the state, the emotions are not there anymore. One can no longer maintain that anymore.
That is sad as they do the photos may be for the fun of it, without being aware of the hidden posibilities.
