Blogging ethics??

Recently after a spate of incidents that occured to me, I start to question a lot of things.
Yeah, your Question-Baby comes back to the world!!!
I was wondering about whether the First Amendment applies to blog so that we can have Freedom of Speech!
Obviously, it may not apply to Singapore unless the criticism or comment is constructive.
Then I wonder again if there is any law concerning copyright on blogs?
If anyone have any unique posting like your own poems, your own novels, own stories, own comments, together with the infinite repeatability of the Internet, it is quite a scary thing isnt it?
Imagine if someone actually cut and paste your work, and pass it as their own without giving you credit, how will you feel??
Ok, you may feel that I am over-exaggerating stuff, but things like that do occur isnt it?
Once again, people may feel that copyright discourages creativity and development.
Then people may have similar thoughts and stuff.
Think again!
Unless you have everyone in the cyberspace developing some ethics like giving credits to the person that you cut and paste the stuff from, it is hard not to impose copyright.
Furthermore, do you like it if someone stole your work and pass it as their own?
Even though you took minimal efforts to do, that is afterall your work, isnt it?
In addition, even though, you have similar stuff, you do not have the same way of expressing it. That really make a difference.
Why?
Because when one is paraphrasing it, they are adding their opinions and ideas into it. So that makes the idea somewhat different.
Ok..you may think that that is the best way of representing an idea.
Great! Fine!
At least credit it to the original author instead of not doing anything.
That's ethics!
In my opinion, it is quite hard to rule and make everyone abide by this ethics.
Unless everyone agree to take the trouble.
Hard lah!
According to the Laws of Human Nature, No.XXXXXXX, nobody would be willing to do so as they are lazy!
Yeah !
I admit I am lazy too. But hey, I do give credits to the source.
hehe.......in case you bombard me with mails.
