This is a bit ridiculous....take a look
A GRAN of 56 has recruited a woman half her age to help her have an IVF baby.

Priscilla Eatwell met Cherie Watts, 27, after advertising in a local paper and shop windows.

She began hunting for an egg donor because she was desperate for a fourth child with her 70-year-old husband Don.

Priscilla was rejected by British clinics because of her age.

But she and Cherie, both from Southampton, flew to Italy this week to start the £25,000 treatment at a clinic run by controversial Dr Severino Antinori.

He has done IVF on older women before and has been involved in moves to clone humans.

Priscilla said: “I have wanted to have another baby for years but for financial reasons we couldn’t go ahead. Now the money is in place and I have found the perfect egg donor, it seems too good to be true.”

Next month doctors will remove Cherie’s eggs and begin the IVF process. It is illegal to pay an egg donor but she can be given expenses such as hotel bills and child care.

Cherie said: “When I saw Cilla’s story in the paper, I knew straight away I wanted to help.”

But pro-life groups blasted the move. Nuala Scarisbrick, of the charity Life, said: “The child’s welfare seems to be the last consideration. When the child is ten, the mother will be in her late sixties and the father will be 80.”

The oldest British woman to have a baby was Liz Buttle, 60, in 1997.
