Movie " Radio"

This is a very touching movie though Clint Eastwood doesnt know about why he wants to do it. The way he protected Cuba Gooding Jr. from the rest of the community. Not to mention the father and son partnership to get rid of Radio (Cuba Gooding Jr).
But the most touching scene is when Radio's mum died and he is on the verge of breakdown where no1 is able to get near him.
Clint's daughter is nearly gone crazy trying to contact Clint since no adult is at home and the situation is difficult.
Finally, Clint gets home in time and went over to Radio's house.
Here the poor soul wrecked his room and was kneeing down sobbing to himself.
Clint got near and pat him.
Radio was showing him his mama's photo and spluttering his sorrow.
So sad...

The Amazing Race 10

Courtesy of "Watch" Magazine

Geez...looking at all these photos, I started to curse the local TV stations.
Cant they realise wat we audience want?
They have been running TAR since Season 1, not becoz of the new technology called MOBTV, they want to shift it there.
What's wrong with them?
They will say: Well this is nothing wrong, but we are capitalists at heart."
They are already monopolisitc here. Cant they be kinder to consumer demands?
We might choose overseas channels rather than local one. We might even avoid them totally.
Who is there to lose?

Geez....the level of programming is already low.
Though the dramas with family as theme has been well-received, that doesnt mean we dun need diversity or variety.
At least find a space to air those programmes that audience want and not shift it to a new media expecting that audience will shift with it.

Tv programmes are meant for TV airing.

So wat if the stats shows that almost every1 has computers?

Does that means that every1 in the household also use that?

Some of us are really resistant to that.

So dun presumed with capitalist heart that wat we want or will do.

Coz as a monopolist, you duno not the audience.
haha.....

Get me my TAR 10.

I realli miss them..

I dun even have $$ to travel so at least give me some shows to satisfy my hunger.

Give it to me.......

Sister gathering at the Xin Wang Cafe 13 /9 /2006

Haha...since we haven meet with a lot of our friends, we decided to meet up. Haha...Well, we meet up with Xin and Zi. haha...
That day was a bit hectic. I remember Val is having trouble meeting me coz her appointment is delayed. So I decided to go earlier and take a walk around Orchard.
I am the earlier that day. Lucky day huh?

When I meet up with Val and Xin, guess wat?
They came together.
Seems like they met at the doors of the hospital and couldnt get up the shuttle bus so they took a cab along.

Zi was late as she was in Vivocity's Safe superstore.
By the time she came, we are already half full haha....
Then we talk a lot of things.

One of them is to walk at macrichite.

Geez...I hate that...

then for every 4 times, we will go Xing Fu Yin Cha..cool huh?

Changi airport, shuai ge and book fair on 10/9/2006

Haha...this is quite a fantastic day. I just got to know that there is a Times booksale at Expo. Naturally, I jio Val along since we are nerds. haha...Then there are two ways to get there either by 969 or 858 so we decided that since both need to change bus for mrt, the former has more stops than the latter, we take the latter.Hehe...so that will take us to Changi Airport. haha.,...our very own global brand as recognised by many others. We haven't been visiting it for a long time so we decided to take a tour of it. hehe..Then..we realise upon entering the compound, eh...there is no mrt stations.

What to do?

We decided to ask the salegirl of a chocolate store. Geez..heng, we got no communication problem. Her accent really make it hard to decipher.Anyway, we gonna travel on it and guezz what the station is really cool like those in the NEL line. So cool..Then we reach the Expo.

Wah...quoting my friend, the whole of Singapore is here.
Geez...So crowded no place to eat.

I sugggested we go to see books 1st lor. Wah....a lot of book nicely packed. That's what I like about Times booksale. Furthermore, I can find more Nora Roberts books and hey..we can make nets payment leh...haha....
Why is MPH so stubborn and make it look like Garage sale?

Then We went over to John Little sale and found the pillows that Val likes. haha...We wait for her mum to come and long-bang the pillows onVal's father's truck.
We went to eat.haha......BK what else?

Then we shop the brands sale and guess who we saw?
A senior named Cai and his gf is Mo senior.
He is trying out shirts and his size ballooned. Well, he din see us so we dun go and say hi. Well, he is bz, isnt it?

Val bought the pillow but she din dare to snatch the comfort pillows from some uncles and aunties who are so kiasu. They grabbed those they like before it is tagged for sale..I think Val got shocked.
The queue for payment is realli long and Val thot that the family behind, sikhs i guess, is really good-looking. haha....
We had to wait for uncle to get out of the food fair. Guess there must be a lot of good food.haha....we are outside of the hall, counting.......snails..

On the way back, I start to do silly things like singing Twinkle Twinkle little star just like Sanshi in Lovely Samsoon sang to his niece. Val got shocked haah...swinging my legs with the rhythmn.

On our way our of the mrt station at airport, Val pointed out to me that she saw a blonde guy, very shuai.
I get of the escalator and i turned my head twice to see him. Guezz he spot me by then.
We couldnt follow him coz we need the ladies.haha....
Guess wat?

As we approached the platform for skytrain, VAl pointed excitedly, the guy has not left. At this point of time, the skytrain arrived. haha....wat a tian-yi!!
Val went to stand next to him in the cabin. I had to wriggle my way to stand in front of her.haha..

Upon closer inspection, Val said after that, he is very short around my height but his is still good-looking with his head of blonde hair and physique.haha....
I guess he took his look at us....behind his sunglasses...
Anyway, he is leaving.....geez..

On the way, I fell asleep on the bus...Guess wat? I think I scared Val who fell asleep beside me and wake up earlier than me.
Why?
Coz we I sleep, I tend to let my hair down. With my jet-black hair over my face, I guess I look like Zhen-zi.haha......

What a day huh?

CCS drama nite 2/9/2006

Hmm, wat to say? It was a nite of gathering and the feel of uneasiness just creep in on me. Geez..that slimy, snakey feeling..
I meet up with Xin and Ling to go together. A chinese saying that "More people more courage" is something I relied on that night.
We had dinner at the foodcourt where we sample out the Korean food. Real good it is. The Chicken Curry, the kimchi ramen. gosh..the quality is quite high..hehe..for all those not spicy lovers, try out the curry. It is not hot but rather more thick sauce. As we eat, we talk a lot on the latest series "My Lovely Samsoon". It is a funny show where a girl in her 30s trying to get herself hitched, but always ended up being ditched. (Rhymes hor...)

A question popped in was who is their fave actor: Sanshi or Henry?Obviously, They chose the latter while I choose the former. Why? Coz they both feel that Henry is more manly than Sanshi. While I beg to differ. Though Henry is nice, manly and all, I feel the pressure of communicating to him I guezz. He is too perfect liao and see how many girls like him. Geez..almost all my friends like him lor. I feel it will be very hard to be on par with him.As for Sanshi, well, even though he is quite childish sometimes, he is still mature in his thinking eccept for relationship matters lah. He is the kind I would say not handsome at first glance like Henry but nai kan. I like that kind of guy so that no1 will fight with me. haha....

Back to the night, we rush over to get the tickets from Eugene. GeeZ! Guess what? This guy is limping leh. Ask him to tend to it, he say later, machiam he doesnt anyway. Well, wat to do? I dun care liao..Care too much means that u interfere people's life. I had this bad habit I guess. Someone very very openly pointed that out to me.We met Mr Leong, Xin and I's Maths AO teacher. As you know the memories keep flooding back. It is amazing that he remembers us, like "shen me (What) Xin" and " Shen me (what) Hua". It is really amazing that he only remembers the last part of our names....
Then we start talking about the various classmates which I have long forgotten. Geez..I was fidgeting and hoping that it will start soon.
Xin in her bid to make amiable conversation say, eh Mr Leong, your daughter have grown up since I last saw her.
Parents are sensitive lot especially when comes to children.
Mr Leong:" Eh Xin, you sure or not? This is my second child not the 1st leh. She is 11 years old liao."
Now you see the 3 thick lines running down Xin's face.
I tried to round off..Xin, you really make a mistake sia..kids grow really fast.
Geez...u can see the defensive mode of Mr Leong.
The school principal comes along and break this interlude. Well, she keep persuading us to come for the dinner. haiz..watta....

Finally, the show started and we go off.Well, a bit disappointing for the 1st show by some Mo senior. An adaptation of the familiar story that we know "Turn Left, Turn Right". Geez...But the female lead really caught my attention coz she behave and act just like her.Her as in the person who hurt me the most as u read in my blog before.Even small details like swinging hips and stuff is just like her.Geez...gonna reminded by the actress about her....I am starting to feel hyperventilation. Then I found out that it is just a junior who has changed her size...Then I saw her during the break. Her amoiosity with Mo is not forgotten. She miss the drama then.

My chinese classmate who is now a primary school teacher saw me and we chat. Making me forget her. Then we talk about how her family got a huge fight over the MLM scheme that her sister want and she dun like.

Then the drama by Choy big Director is fantastic even though he was such a XXXX. (For your information, he tricked me saying he not directing. God, I dun buy his trick. I say the truth with my eyes. those emails are not faked.)This show about his criticism towards Blogging and those famous bloggers who blog commercially for $$ and that his venom is also directed to the American idol format shows. When I 1st saw the script, I thot well abit boring and unpolished. But after going thru several revisions I guess, it is cool. Especially Peiyan's acting has matured and become more open in her gesture.haha..
I tot it ends there but insted it ends with the singing. Geez...feel like a bad ending...no hype no climax..so boring....and my 2nd sis's zou yin.haiz...she carried too far away...
Then I thanked Choy for his success with a firm handshake, we left after that. With Hu Da-kang...walking behind us...haha....

New York New York

Well someone decides that since we are going to collect our photos, might as well have other gathering again. haha...this time we meet up at NY NY. But they have such a policy that we might *Bish them.
The manager: " I am sorry. The restuarant decided to have a new policy starting this month. There will be no more table reservations after 7pm."
But my friend managed to wheedle them abit, thus booking a table.
Geez..in the end, with those working, surely, we will reach after 7pm wat.
So as more people come, we will squeeze more together until the round table cannot hold us. So request that more seats to be put near the table.
In the end, guess what they brought us?
Those high-lounge chairs supposedly to belong to the bar. Then other people want to leave and waiters have to come and go to serve the others.. Traffic obstruction....
Now then, more people start to come so....
Haiz...bo bian we split up into 2 tables.
So jialat.
All this they brought on themselves. Who ask them to cancel our reservation.
Din even have the courtesy of telling us in advance.

Then we decided to go to TCC to book a long shot of seats so that we can gather around to have fun.haha....

Here we are...settling down....

This girl insisted throughout the night that hse must have her ice-cream. Whata....
Now she is embarrassed to be photgraphed....

Here we are taking a shot.....and relaxing hehehe...

After a large meal, I usually take a cup of camomile tea if there is going to be any dessert session. Coz it is fat-free, help digestion and help me to sleep.
These 2 guys above, spend almost the rest of time trying to figure out about my teapot. See that silvery pot beside the menu?
Piang.....haha...i din dare to drink the rest of it as they spend time squeezing and playing...geez...yucks...

As the night progress, this guy Marc come up with the usual format of class gathering...
Graduation --> Jobs --> career life and pay --> bf / gf --> Marriage --> Kids --> 5Cs --> parenting tips --> Kids' grades --> Travel --> old age??

haha...but it is true leh....hehe....
What a nite, though les eventful but peaceful..get to know the rest better..

Puzzle Pirates and Singlish and Singaporean identity

I did not know that we are so unique in our language. No wonder people say that Language can differentiate one group from another. Geez..Since this Puzzle Pirate is a multiplayer game, I would not expect people to know my country let alone meeting my fellowmen here.haha...
Surprisingly, he found me and I was curious at what makes him think that we are from the same country. He say the "Lahs" and the "Lors" are so distinctive. Geez...
I did not know that my everyday online language is filled with all those exclaimation syllables. Till he pointed out to me.
I tried to rebutt and say that well all chinese will use that kind of syllables.
Know what he say?
Yeah only Singaporeans do.
Coz we are mixed culture.
So we can actually recognise each other not by the fashion marker but in virtual world we can still identify ourselves with verbal markers. Who say that offline identity cannot be carried online? Well, I guess we just did since our everyday lives actually penetrate into our online identity.
Some things just dun change.
haha......
Anyway, I still dun believe that I actually peppered my language with all that so I make a general survey on my online chat.
Guezz wat?
I had more "Lahs" than "Lors" or "Hors".
I had more "Hehe" than "Hahas" (May be the icon is really cute. I like sniggers than cheerleading.)
I typed more "U" instead of "You"
I can use more than 5icons in 1 sentence and guess what I have to cut down coz MSN dun allow this.
Geez......the list goes on.....aiyo....why like that...
Think I must brush up on my language otherwise my future report will all be crap.
